These are some great tips I use myself to shed a few extra pounds when ever I want to and believe me it works wonders. So lets go right at them.
1 ) Forget about the goals
The first thing to keep in mind I'm not using a goal orientated process. You don't have to measure and weigh your self before you start it. This is just a easy way to get fitter and feel better therefore your mirror and favorite jeans should ultimately do all the talking.
2 ) Divide your meal into 6 or 7 small meals
A great way to jump start your metabolism is to eat more meals of less quantity throughout the day. There are no restrictions here just know that fried, sugary and salty foods will hold you up a bit. A good example of a regular day would include a 7:00 am low calories corn flakes, a 9:30 am non fat yogurt and half a fruit, a 1:00 pm broiled, grilled, baked meat with veggie's, a 3:30pm low calories granola bar, a 6:00 pm low calories sandwich with whole meal bread some Philadelphia or cream cheese with turkey breast ham and finally a 8:30 pm can of tuna in water and crackers, try not to put too much mayo in there. That's an idea but I hope you get my drift small portions and more healthy meals.
3 ) Exercise 3 times a week 1 hour per workout
Exercise is the other part of the calorie reduction method and metabolism increase. I prefer weight lifting for better results but a good hour of that or cardio will do the trick. Try to limit yourself to be in and out the gym in just an hour and make it 1 or two day's in between workouts for best result.
4 ) Drink plenty of water during the day
Water is key between meals and also right after you wake up. A good 2 glasses when waking up and a full glass half an hour before every meal will do. Try to limit your water consumption after 6:00 pm just half a glass from there on.
5 ) Eat fruits before 10 am
Fruits are better to consume between your wake-up and 10:00 am for better digestion and sugar management during the day. Since I'm not really an expert I won't say nothing more than this actually helps me a lot.
6 ) Drink water at least an hour after eating
Water is better absorbed after a good digestion so I'd leave my acids do their thing before I make them work overtime with a bunch of water in there. This actually is key to increasing your metabolism.
7 ) Drink room temperature water
Another good thing to do is drinking room temperature water again why mess around with your internal temperature. If you take the water out of the fridge just let it sit for a few minutes till you see some good condensation around the glass. I usually eat and have my water out already getting ready for when I am.
8 ) Use natural supplements
Natural supplements are the extra boost after all this is in play. The ones I use are multivitamins, omega's and Resveratrol supplements. multivitamins just workout what ever deficiencies you missed with your food intake, omega's are great for the cardiovascular system and Resveratrol gives me an extra kick out the bed when I'm feeling lazy. 9 ) Have an open day
I use Sundays as everything goes day. I still follow the same tips but I indulge myself on some sweets and extra carbs. This helps me reward myself after a grueling week specially if it's near the start of the 1st week and secondly it puts into perspective that I'm doing this because I want to feel good and be healthy and not for any other weird reason.
10 ) Have a good time doing it.
Finally just have a good time following this process. if you miss something it's not the end of the world. Just think the time it took to get to your actual condition. Thing aren't lost because you had to miss a meal or eat some fried stuff. Just think of this as a life style. Follow these tips, make them your way of life and get the results you actually need, not the results people are trying to sell to you.
So again, follow these tips and you'll thank me in as little as 2 to 4 weeks.
